THE LINE UP:
Headliner:
Alex Gibbon
Alex is a UK based comedian who has performed their gleefully pessimistic style of comedy all around the country, including at multiple prides across the southwest, with audiences ranging from 100 – 2000 people. They’re also among the first artists ever to be awarded the Phoebe Waller Bridge Keep It Fringe Fund for their show “Fat, Femme and Crippled”.
Having become non- verbal due to a neurological disorder, Alex now drives their mobility scooter on the intersections of disability, queer culture, and survival of the fattest, as they talk about everything from the perils of text to speech technology, to proving that bad life choices are not just a luxury of the able bodied.
Be sure to be delighted and disgusted as Alex holds nothing back!
Alex got to the semi finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023.
Opener:
Mark Dennett
Mark Dennett’s wife takes full responsibility for his comedy career. If she hadn’t kicked him out of the house one night after telling him to get a hobby, then he would never have gone to his local comedy club and asked for his first open spot. Since that night in January 2015, Mark has driven the length and breadth of the country performing anywhere he can and honing his craft. What started as a hobby has led to paid gigs from a number of promoters who can all provide references. Runner Up at the Bath New Act of the Year 2016, Mark draws on a life time of often bizarre (yet relatable) incidents to mind for joke based comedy gold and is also a very capable and charming MC.
He is still very happily married and is glad that he chose comedy over golf.

Compere:
MC – Ben Treloar
Having just won Cornish Comedian of the Year 2023 and shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards, Ben is definitely one to watch. With fantastic self-deprecating punchlines and quick crowdwork, it’s easy to see why he’s getting booked across the country. It also helps that he’s incredibly affordable.
